NOW HIRING: Operations & Finance, Associate or Manager
Kopali, a social enterprise and positive-impact chocolate brand, is seeking a key team member to manage both strategy and execution, for all supply chain, finance and operations. Seeking immediate start for training which may take place partially in Miami. Exciting opportunity for growth and high-level responsibilities – for the right candidate who is prepared to dive into this intense role.
Responsibilities include: sourcing and purchasing ingredients and materials; planning and managing outsourced production, and demand and inventory; coordinating import/export and logistics; analyzing and tracking sales, tradespends, and customer and product profitability; business-wide budgeting, financial modeling and accounting; and organizational management.
Requires: exceptional strategic and systems thinking, as well as detail orientation; exceptional work ethic and energy; interest in committing to a highly entrepreneurial young and growing business; bilingual English/Spanish with strong verbal and written communication skills in both languages; strong quantitative, Excel and accounting skills (currently using Quickbooks); minimum of two years competitive work experience required, and MBA strongly preferred. Must be prepared to enjoy the challenge of operating with lean overhead, and be prepared to “get the job done” with a positive view of direct hands-on execution of a wide variety of tasks, with expectation of a 60-hour workweek alongside company leadership. Opportunity to play an instrumental role during this key phase of Kopali’s growth, including responsibilities which at a larger company might be reserved for a COO/CFO.
Strongly prefer a candidate either based in NYC and able to train in Miami, or based in Miami with willingness to ultimately relocate to NYC; will also consider LA and perhaps other locations. Envisioning a firm mutual commitment to a 20 week training period, with ongoing commitment mutually confirmed at week 10; will also consider hiring an interim team member with a 6 month commitment.
